U Win Shein, the Director General, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, and parties, visited to GLORY Automotive Training School on 4 August 2018. This party included Daw Khin Mar Aye, Assistant Director, and Daw Yin Yin Aye, National Consultant, Swiss Contact. They studied and inspected on how GLORY held Automotive Mechanic Level-1 Test as an assessment centre of NSSA.

The opening and graduation ceremony of Automotive Engineering Diploma Course, that was organized by OIST - Japan and GLORY - Myanmar, was hold at IBC - International Business Centre on 26 Oct 2018. In that ceremony, U Zaw Aye Maung, Minister, Government of Yangon Region and U Kyaw Soe Moe, Principal of GLORY Career Training Centre gave a speech to the audience. After that, Mr. Naoki Itami, Lecturer of OIST and Mr. Asano, Managing Director of Suzuki (Myanmar) Motor Co. Ltd., awarded the diploma certificates to the successful students each. Some government officials, officials from NSSA, JICA-Japan, GIZ-Germany , SUZUKI MOTOR, other automotive company staffs and respective students and parents, altogether about 350, attended to that ceremony. Normally, these courses are opened twice a year at April and October and these are jointly offered by Japan and Myanmar.

Japanese Senator, Mr. Ichiro Aisawa and parties visited to GLORY on 26 January 2019. Mr. Ichiro Aisawa is a Japanese Senator as well as the president of Japan-Myanmar Parliament Friendship Association. The participants of this party are Counsellor of Japanese Embassy, Mr. Kazuyuki Takimi ,Director General, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Motohide Hashimoto and some other business men. The responsible persons of GLORY explained about the automotive training with Japanese system, some graduates who were working at Japan, and some graduates who went for further study at Japan.

Deputy Director General of TVET, Ministry of Education, Dr. Nay Myo Tun and parties, visited GLORY Automotive School on 18 May 2019. The responsible persons of GLORY warmly accepted that party and explained about the automotive training with Japanese system. And then GLORY officials reported to government officials how GLORY could support to GTHS and GTI for automotive training.

Automotive Mechanic Level-1Test of NSSA - National Skills Standard Authority was hold at GLORY during 4 July and 7 July 2019. There were 31 candidates who sat for this exam and these candidates were some GLORY graduates and some mechanics from local car service centres. This test is the first time that examines in accordance with new version, Version (2). Currently, NSSA is making competency standard and test question for Automotive Mechanic Level -2 with the support of JICA, Japan. Some officers of NSSA, JICA, trainers of TTTI, and the responsible persons of some automotive companies, attended on this event.

13 Feb 2019

U Kyaw Soe Moe, Principal of GLORY Career Training Centre, attended the Workshop on TVET Quality Assurance Framework that was hold at Singapore Polytechnic during from 13 to 15 Feb 2019. That workshop was hold with the support of Temasek Foundation and 14 Myanmar professionals attended it. Dr. Joseph TAN and 3 other specialists of Singapore Polytechnic explained about the vocational educational system of Singapore and Quality Control Process. And then Myanmar representatives looked around the school and studied the engineering lab of Singapore Polytechnic.

GLORY will be launching online courses in July aimed at those who are unable to attend the normal training. The online courses include Level 3- UK Engineering Diploma Courses , as well as some vocational training courses, such as wiring & electrical installation, refrigeration & air conditioning and electronics skill course. Some courses are 100% online but some require a few hours to do the practical lessons themselves at school. Vocational Engineering Courses, with free of charge, were delivered at GLORY on 17 Oct 2022. These free courses are being offered for the third time, and 15 trainees in each course will be accepted and taught by a total of 45 learners. The types of courses that delivered are: Electrical Installation and Wiring Course; Air Conditioner Maintenance and Installation Course; Rural Mechanic Course. In trainees’ selection process, the first step was to check whether they met the criteria, and the second step was to conduct an interview. In all courses, a total of 360 hours of practical and theory training will be taught, and the duration of the course will be (3) months.

On 29 May 2023, GLORY's "Automotive Engineering Diploma - Graduation and Opening Ceremony" was held at Novotel Hotel, Pyay Road, Yangon. The ceremony was attended by officials from the MEF - Myanmar Engineers Federation, NSSA - National Skills Standard Authority, officials from automobile companies, Okayama Institute of Science and Technology. And relevant teachers; trainees, trainers, parents are also included. At the ceremony, the Vice President of the Myanmar Engineers Federation - U Ohn Myint; the Principal of GLORY - U Kyaw Soe Moe, on behalf of GLORY, and Mr. Nao Kasahara, on behalf of OIST, gave speeches respectively. After that, the students who graduated from the course were presented with certificates of excellence. Special Honor Awards were also presented.

On 5 Oct 2023, ten GLORY graduates left for Japan to continue learning advanced automotive technologies. The graduates are Hein Min Thu (Sec 52), Aung Thu Hein (Sec 51), Myo Kyaw (Sec 51), Khant Kyaw Zin (Sec 51), Wai Yan Mon (Sec 49), Myat Khaung (Sec 48), Wai Yan Kyi. (Sec 46), Hlaing Bhone Myint (Sec 38), Kaung Htet Hlan (Sec 30) and Man Zaw Myat Htut (Sec 5). These graduates will study Second Class-Automotive Maintenance Course at OIST - Okayama Institute of Science and Technology. These participants are those who have been admitted to the school for the October 2023 Intake.
